Buck has over 7 years experience in the financial services and banking industry.  He began his banking career at a community bank in Natchez , Mississippi as a lender and credit analyst.  He received training in all areas of banking with a main emphasis on credit suitability, SBA loans and commercial loans.  He was also a key member in converting sensitive System 36 banking data to the Phoenix Banking System.

Prior to joining the Premium Strategies Group, Buck worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst for First Tennessee Capital Markets providing statistical analysis for the mortgage strategies research department.  He conducted in-depth research on mortgage backed prepayment trends to find added value in this complex sector by studying pool characteristics of the entire universe of Agency (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA) issued mortgage pools.  His expertise with mortgage backed products, extensive computer-based analytic capabilities, and Bloomberg Terminal knowledge enables him to provide a superior level of service to his clients.


Buck is currently studying as a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and will sit for the Level 2 exam in June of 2008.  The CFA requires passing three yearly in-depth examinations covering the areas of equity and fixed income securities analysis, portfolio management, economics, financial accounting, quantitative techniques and ethical and professional standards.  He is a graduate of Delta State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management and has completed the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) licensing and registration programs Series 7 - General Securities Representative and Series 63 - Uniform Securities State Law examinations. 


Buck and his wife, Ashley, reside in Memphis with their two children, Ava Catherine and Hudson.  His hobbies include Reading , Golf and Lutherie (guitar building.)
